CDT Research Student Discussing Their Work

The government Science Minister announced that the EPSRC is to create a Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Catalysis addressing some of society’s biggest challenges through catalysis: clean energy generation, environmental clean-up of air and water and sustainable manufacture.

An interdisciplinary programme led by the Cardiff Catalysis Institute (one of Cardiff’s major research institutes), together with the universities of Bath and Bristol, offers postgraduate training in Catalysis and Reaction Engineering.  The programme allows postgraduates to develop an advanced knowledge of traditional and emerging catalysis disciplines, an understanding of industry and global contexts plus research and professional skills.  CDT graduates will drive and grow the UK catalysis sector as well as support the needs of UK industry.
