From the 6th to 8th of June, Cardiff University welcomed academics, students and industrial colleagues to the latest Catalysis CDT Spring Conference.
The student led conference contained contributions from the CDT research students to showcase their research and develop initiatives and networking with other academics and industry. The final day of the conference was dedicated to the future carers of the CDT cohort, with fascinating talks from industry and academia alike in the next stages of a research career – wherever that may take them. All students presented posters, with stimulated wide discussion with the diverse range of visitors.
In recognition of the support given to the CDT and in memory of Dr Darrell Patterson, a much loved colleague of the CDT and member of staff at the University of Bath, who sadly passed away earlier this year, the “Peoples Choice Award” for the best poster was presented. The winner of this award was Keiko Yakabi Diosdado, a member of the Hammond research group.
